Queensland Stories - Meeting with Chris Sayer - Karen Tunny

Recently Information and Publications Manager Karen Tunny met with Christine (Chris) Sayer, Creative Communities Officer at State Library of Queensland. Chris has been an active QCAN member for many years and was QCAN Treasurer for some time.

As Creative Communities Officer one of Chris' responsibilities is implementing strategies and programs to deliver ongoing community cultural development outcomes including the Queensland Stories initiative. This initiative focuses not only on telling and sharing stories but also enhancing public library service through developing stronger connections between libraries and the communities they serve. Training in digital story production is a significant part of the project. Pilot workshops have been delivered in Mt. Nebo. Planning is underway to deliver workshops in three more regional communities. For more information visit the Queensland Stories website. (Please note that at the moment there is a Mac incompatibility with the site however this should be resolved soon.)
